La
Creme Patisserie is run by award winning patissier Sian
Hindle. La Crème specialises in the creation of
bespoke gateaux, cakes and desserts and also provides an
outside catering service for private and business
customers across South Wales.
Sian’s high standard of work was recognised when she was
awarded the prestigious Welsh Master Baker Award for
Petit Fours. One of her specialities is working
with chocolate to create unusual textures and designs.
Sian was delighted to be a finalist in the Puratos sponsored "Patissier of the Year" competition.
On September 17th 2007 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, Sian was announced as runner up
in this cateogory at the Baking Industry Awards. This prestigious competition places Sian in the
top three patissiers in the country, which is a fantastic achievement and a dream come
true for La Creme after only two years of trading.
Her entry was a Hazelnut
and Caramel Mousse Cake. It consists of a hazelnut sponge encasing a caramel
mousse, topped with roasted hazelnuts in whipped cream and
caramel sauce. The cake opposite has been decorated with a poured caramel sugar decoration
and encased in a piped chocolate collar
Sian’s made to order cakes and desserts
are ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, parties,
weddings and special occasions. Choose from the wide
range of delicious sponge cakes, fruit cakes and
tempting desserts that Sian has already created.
